Who is Thione NIANG ?

Thione Niang, with his modest origins in Kaolack, paints himself as a living picture of Senegalese determination. His mother's daily struggle ignited in him a desire to build a different future, a spark that guided him from Dakar to the United States with barely $20 in his pocket. Although his path has taken him to the backrooms of American politics, it is his return to Senegal that speaks loudest: Thione has become a symbol of possibility and hope for his compatriots, devoting himself to enriching the lives around him for over a decade.

At the heart of his motivation, a principle resonates powerfully : investing in people. For Thione, education and training are not simply development tools, but pillars that support the building of a prosperous future. Its commitment to building the capacity and fulfillment of individuals transcends boundaries and domains, fueling a vision where every person is equipped, inspired and empowered to create waves of positive change. Thus, through each initiative, he instills wisdom and knowledge, establishing himself as a tireless builder of human potential in Senegal and beyond."

The journey doesn't end there. In 2014, an innovative and enlightening collaboration was born with Akon Lighting Africa, a project whose ambition is to electrify rural areas of Africa using solar energy. The same year, JEUFZONE Farms was inaugurated, reflecting an ambition to support sustainable agriculture and invest in the continent's food future.

The following years witnessed constant evolution and 2020 marked the birth of the Institute of Agriculture and Leadership, aiming to merge the principles of leadership and agriculture to shape a new generation of agri-food leaders.

Technology and digital education becomes a focal point in 2021, with the creation of the GIVE1Project Digital Skills Academy. This is dedicated to arming young people with essential digital skills such as cyber security, artificial intelligence, robotics, etc. in an era dominated by technology.

2022 is shaping up to be a year of connections and innovative education. Afro Global Connect aims to build links between African entrepreneurs, its diaspora and the rest of the world. At the same time, JEUFZONE Daara modern is revealed, introducing a modernized and adapted version of traditional Koranic schools.

The year 2023 demonstrates the special attention paid to languages and women. YOOLOF, a Wolof learning platform, is launched, celebrating and preserving the rich Senegalese language and culture. Additionally, the GIVE1Project Women Training Center comes into existence, with a resolute mission to strengthen and empower women, considering them as essential pillars of society.
